Madeline Riske is a senior majoring in English & creative writing on the publishing track. She works as an Assistant for the Elizabeth Kaplan Literary Agency and, in her free time, writes about birds.

MANAGING EDITOR

Lily Giddings is a senior studying English and creative writing on the publishing track and minoring in public policy. Her passion is baking and writing poems about the everyday. She loves to read intensely researched historical fiction novels and cheesy romances with obnoxiously bright covers.

Piper Kearney is a sophomore studying English & Creative Writing and Journalism. She can usually be found eating sushi, juggling, or logging movies on Letterboxd the second they finish.

ASSISTANT MANAGING EDITOR

Aasrith Veerapaneni is a second year student hailing from South Windsor, Connecticut, majoring in English and Theatre Arts at UIowa. Outside of editing, he also has a half dozen Stage Management credits at Iowa and professionally. He loves all types of writing and art, especially things that tell real stories, and is excited to work with this new opportunity.

Jessica Housour is a fourth-year student studying English and Spanish, with a minor in Translation. She is also a U2G student working on her master's in Literary Studies. She loves anything to do with vampires and chai lattes.

Ella Fritz is currently an undergraduate at the University of Iowa studying English and creative writing on the publishing track and screenwriting. A nomad of sorts, she has split her time this year between Charleston, Dublin, Iowa City, and Philadelphia. She recently emerged from studying literature in Europe and is excited to be on the Catharsis team.

Emony Dickinson is a sophomore studying English Literature and History. She loves cats of all types and has a slightly concerning addiction to strawberry flavored drinks.

Emily Veksler is a senior majoring in chemistry on the pre-med track. She likes to work on creative projects like art and writing when she's not busy cooking in the lab, and she can’t study without an emotional support warm beverage.

COVER DESIGNER

Kyleigh is a fourth-year student majoring in English and creative writing and pursuing her BFA in photography. When she isn't taking photos along the lowa River, she's probably having a lot of feelings or writing about bugs.

CONFESSION DESIGNER

Lauren Smith is an undergraduate getting a B.A. in Comm Studies and a Writing Certificate. She is literally imagining Sisyphus happy at all times.

TYPESET DESIGNER

Roan Johnson is a fourth-year studying English & Creative Writing with a minor in Media Management. They love biking and bird watching, and when they aren't reading he's taking care of his plants.
