Catharsis is Ascending to a Higher Plane of Existence

What?

Due to the talent of our many contributors and the hard work of our staff, Catharsis has simply become too good. The team had to come up with a strategy to contain our power and maintain order, which led to a tough decision. After much deliberation, Catharsis has decided that the best course of action would be to backflip off the mortal coil and continue to exist only in a space beyond human comprehension. Following the dissolution of the Magid Center, we gained some experience with moving departments, so we expect the transition to go smoothly.

Changes to look out for

We recognize our readers may be concerned about our move to an imperceptible celestial eternity, but don’t worry. Future issues will still be available to read in print and on the website. You will probably miss out on our new third option of media, which involves beaming all the pieces directly into your mind as if you were experiencing them in a dream, but we here at Catharsis believe in accessibility and want everyone to have access to our magazine, even mortals.

Additionally, we are considering the inclusion of a page at the beginning of the magazine that says, “BE NOT AFRAID” over and over again. Nonfiction can be uncomfortable to handle at times, so we want our audience to feel safe. To clarify, this is separate from the trigger warnings page. The magazine will still have a normal one of those.

  • heavenly choir applications are now open

We’re looking to expand our team with a heavenly choir that follows us around everywhere with beautiful musical accompaniment. Zero experience required. Please fill out the form below to join.

If heavenly choirs aren’t your speed, our staff applications for the next school year are currently open as well. That being said, you should probably apply to the choir either way. It’s called networking.

  • getting involved

Keep a lookout for any upcoming events we host. We’re thinking of holding a prophetic visions reading in the Glenn Schaeffer Library as well as a glowing orb of light de-stress craft night. You may have heard of our collaboration with Boundless where the Boundless team translates Catharsis Confessions into different languages. We’re working with them to add Tongues as one of the options! Consider confessing to us. We will hear you. Join us.

I’m getting deja vu

Nonsense.

I’m not getting deja vu
